Beethoven’s Eroica Double Bill is the next program in the Arts on Film series to be screened this Wednesday September 4.

At 12.00 noon, Beethoven’s Eroica is a documentary exploring the music and life of Ludwig van Beethoven, retracing his steps though Vienna’s ballrooms and Austria’s villages, and his aim to become the greatest composer of all time.

This is followed at 12.55 pm by a performance of Beethoven’s Eroica in concert, featuring the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas.   Recorded live at the Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, California.

Beethoven’s Eroica Double Bill commences at 12.00 noon and concludes at 1.50 pm.  It will be held in the Community Lab.  Enter via the Arts Reading Room (from Trescowthick Information Centre). Admission is free. No bookings required, but come early as seating is limited. Enjoy!
