Join in the “fun and excitement of National Family History Week” held Australia -wide in the first week of August annually.

There are more than 30 events listed for Victoria alone so a great opportunity to start your family history if you haven’t got around to it, attend talks and seminars on a range of family history topics and check out the family history resources of the State Library of Victoria and your local library. You might even decide to document your own or your family’s unique story. On Monday 2 August, the Library will once again host the popular Family History Feast event http://www.slv.vic.gov.au/event/family-history-feast which is now totally booked out however there will be a podcast available after the event on the Library’s website.

For those who like to plan in advance, the 2011 event will be held from 29 July to 7 August.
