The Library will close at 9pm on Thursday 21 April and reopen at 10am on Wednesday 27 April 2011.

During that time you will not be able to request items, have them delivered, or register as a new user. You can use our Online Copy Service, however orders will not begin to be processed until 27 April.

An extensive range of resources will remain available through our website.

If you want to use any items from the offsite store or the Heritage Collections when we reopen on 27 April, please order them by Thursday 21 April by the following times:

• Heritage Collections (rare books, maps, pictures and manuscripts) by 3pm
• Books, newspapers and journals by 5.30pm.

Advance orders for books held at Swanston Street will reopen from 6pm on Tuesday 26 April.

Readings bookshop and Mr Tulk Café will also be closed from end of trading Thursday 21 April and reopen Wednesday 27 April 2011.

The Melbourne Library Service advises the City Library will open on the following days during the holiday period:

• Sunday 24 April, 12 to 5pm
• Tuesday April 26, 12 to 5pm
