Young adult books on display

The State Library’s Centre for Youth Literature is bringing bestselling international and Australian YA authors to Melbourne for the 11th biennial Reading Matters conference, the largest and longest running YA conference in Australia. Colleagues from across the country will come together to discuss trends and issues facing young people, and to find inspiration and programming ideas in outstanding writers.

This year will feature New York Times bestselling American author Laurie Halse Anderson, UK-based Carnegie Medal novelist Sally Gardner, and DC and Marvel comic book writer Tom Taylor. These will be joined by Melbourne author Amie Kaufman, Indian animator and illustrator Priya Kuriyan, Stella Prize winner Clare Wright and many more.
