Applications for the 2013-2014 Local History Grants Program are now open.

This program provides grants of up to $15,000 to community organisations to support the cost of projects that preserve, record or publish Victorian local history.

Successful projects from past rounds have included:

  • exhibitions
  • multimedia projects
  • publications
  • oral histories
  • digitisation projects
  • the preservation of vital historical items

If you are going to apply for funding for a digitisation project that relies on the collections or resources of the State Library, please contact us before submitting your application.

If you’re applying to digitise historic newspapers for inclusion in the Trove digitised newspapers website, please contact our Newspapers Librarian Chris Wade on 03 8664 7218, or via email. Make sure you get your applications in by 5pm, Monday 11 November 2013, as late applications will not be accepted!
