As a part of the Outside-in Cinema screenings in Experimedia here at the Library, on Wednesday 16th June at 6:30pm you can catch the recent rockumentary, CSNY: Déjà vu. The film chronicles the 2006 Freeedom of Speech tour by the renowned supergroup, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
The Arts Library has many titles in our collection that you can use to hone your CSNY knowledge. For starters, there’s the extensive compilation of articles written on the band, 4 way street.
With Woodstock 1969 standing as the high point of their first period of activity, a scurry around the history of that vibrant moment in rock history also wouldn’t go astray.
From there, why not check out the back stories of the individual members? For starters, there’s David Crosby and his band The Byrds.
And then there’s Neil Young, Stephen Stills, and their short-lived group Buffalo Springfield.
The Library also has many sound recordings of CSNY and their related groups, including the album from which this documentary draws it’s name, all of which can be requested through our catalogue and listened to in our Arts Reading Room.
Bookings can be made by phone 03 8664 7099 or online, and remember to BYO snacks to munch and non-alcoholic drinks to sup during the film.
