The Arts Reading Room has eight listening posts where you can listen to CDs from the audiovisual collection. They are connected to jukebox players at the Arts Enquiry Desk, each holding up to twenty-five CDs.

Access to music on these listening posts is via a remote control feature attached to the front of each post that is easy to operate. Instructions for use are also provided.
Playlists on each post are selectively updated on a regular basis. Some are organized by theme. For example, Films & Shows, Choral Music, Jazz. Others are more general highlighting the variety of CDs held in the collection.

Ave Maria, piena di grazia, sung by Dame Nellie Melba. A digitized recording produced by the Library from the original 78. Available on Listening Post 6.
- Nonesuch, c2009
John Adams. Doctor Atomic Symphony. Available on Listening Post 5.
So come in and have a listen anytime during opening hours. It’s a great way to spend a few minutes or lunch hour.
Music is also available on request for use at one of the standard listening posts in Arts.
