FamilySearch have launched their new website and it offers some new features designed to make it easier to find your ancestors.

I like how you can simply search by name across their databases and easily limit your results to different kinds of records. Finding information in family trees and the terrific FamilySearch library catalogue is also more straight-forward. The new Learn section of the website brings together the FamilySearch wiki which is still in its early stages but certainly worth a look. You can even contribute to the Victorian or Australian sections which is satisfying work in my experience. This part of the website also links to their online genealogy learning programs and resources for getting started, including some pretty smart colour pedigree charts!

More information is available in the FamilySearch blog. I like the new look and recommend that you check it out.
