Sue Roberts, CEO and State Librarian, has announced the appointment of Ms Justine Hyde to the position of Director Library Services and Experience to complete the new State Library leadership team.
Justine is a qualified librarian with 20 years’ experience working in, managing and leading libraries in both the private and public sector. As well as her library experience, Justine has had senior executive responsibility for other strategic and operational areas and has worked in commercial law firms, the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office and Victoria Legal Aid.
Most recently, Justine was the Interim Director for the Law Library of Victoria implementation project where she led the establishment of a new statutory authority, the Law Library of Victoria, on behalf of the Victorian courts and legal profession, and under the direction of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
Sue Roberts said she was pleased with Justine’s appointment.

Justine commences her role on 29 July and joins Jo Watson, Director Community Engagement, Peter McMahon, Director Digital Strategy, and Ben Clark, Director Foundation, who were appointed in May this year.
