A new literary podcast was announced in Melbourne today, supported by State Library Victoria, Readings, Writers Victoria and Swinburne University.

Recorded at the State Library, The Garret podcast celebrates writers and writing, interviewing leading authors to explore how they start, draft, complete and market their writing.

Featuring successful Victorian writers, season one starts on Wednesday 3 November with the first of seven episodes.

Born in Melbourne, a UNESCO City of Literature, The Garret is hosted and produced by Nicolas Brasch, Chair of Writers Victoria, and Astrid Edwards, Vice-Chair of Writers Victoria, both teachers and practising writers.
