Interested in researching your Victorian family history? Why not try the Library’s new online family history course Branching out.

Branching out introduces the basic principles of family history research, and looks at the key resources available for researching Victorian family history.

During this four-module course, the Library’s Family history team will equip you with the tools you need to discover more about your own family tree. It includes short activities and case studies which offer practical examples to explore. The team also provide ongoing support in a friendly forum environment.

The course will run from the 16th October 2017 – 12th November 2017 and is recommended for beginners. Time requirement: 2-3 hours per week.

    • Hi there. Yes we will be running Branching Out this year. Our first program starts on March 11 and should be advertised on the What’s on page of our website later this month. I will email you once the bookings are open. Regards Ann
