A ballet double bill is the next program in the Arts on Film series to be screened this Wednesday October 24 in Arts.

Kultur, [2004]

Baryshnikov Dances Sinatra and more…is the first program at 12.00.  It features ballet superstar, Michail Baryshnikov, in three ballets full of human drama, choreographed by Twyla Tharp.  These include: Sinatra Suite, performed to songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, such as “Strangers in the Night” and “That’s Life”.  The Little Ballet is a tribute to 19th century ballet heroes and heroines.  Push Comes to Shove was devised as a tribute to the American Ballet Theatre in 1976, contrasting the backstage commotion with the polished performance.   With artists of the American Ballet Theatre.
