Based on the play La Dame aux Camelias by Alexandre Dumas and with music by Giuseppe Verdi, this great production of La Traviata is performed live on Sydney Harbour.  It features Emma Matthews as Violetta, Gianluca Terranova as Alfredo, and artists of Opera Australia.  With the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, conducted by Brian Castles-Onion.  The opera is performed under the stars on a floating, mirrored stage on Sydney Harbour, with the city, Opera House and Harbour Bridge acting as a stunning backdrop.  The spectacle also features fireworks and a 9.5-metre chandelier.  Sung in Italian with English subtitles.
