The Arts on Film series (formerly Music & Dance on Film), commences for 2012 this Wednesday March 14. It will feature music and theatre performances, and arts documentaries. A great line-up is plannned again.
The Australian Ballet is celebrating its 50th Anniversary year, so the first program is Australian Ballet Favourites. It celebrates some popular highlights from early and contemporary classics performed by the Melbourne-based international ballet company.

The program includes scenes from Giselle, Coppelia, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Spartacus, and Songs of the Wayfarer. It is narrated by former Artistic Director, Maina Gielgud, and features artists of The Australian Ballet.

The program commences at 12.00 noon and concludes and 1.20 pm (approx). It will be held in the Arts Listening-Viewing Room. Enter via the Arts Reading Room and Audio-visual Centre (from Trescowthick Information Centre). Admission is free. No bookings required, but come early as seating is limited. Enjoy!
