Two documentaries about renowned British cellist, Jacqueline du Pre, will feature in the next
Music & Dance on Film series program, to be screened this Wednesday April 27 in Arts.
Both films by Christopher Nupen, are included on the DVD Jacqueline du Pre: a celebration.

Who Was Jacqueline du Pre is the first program and commences at 12.00 noon. It includes interviews with the people who new her & her music best.
The second program, Remembering Jacqueline du Pre, features the artist in rehearsal and performance, and includes works by Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms. It commences at 12.55 pm, and is approx. an hour in length.
The Library also holds the title, A genius in the family: an intimate memoir of Jacqueline du Pre, by her older sister Hillary du Pre & younger brother, Piers du Pre.

The Jacqueline du Pre: Double Bill screening will be held in the Arts Listening-Viewing Room. Enter via the Arts Reading Room and Audio-Visual Centre (from Trescowthick Information Centre). Admission is free. No bookings required, but come early as seating is limited.
