Opera for the people is a compilation, edited by Geoffrey Orr, featuring two live performances of La Traviata and Martha, recorded in the 1950s. Hector Crawford conducts the Australian Symphony Orchestra, with a stellar line-up of local singers of the day, including Glenda Raymond, John Lanighan and Maurice Williams. Former Channel Nine newsreader, Eric Pearce, also features as the Announcer.
That holiday feeling is a classic compilation of festive songs by popular singing duo of the 1950s and 60s, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. Performers include Elvis Presley (It’s now or never), Roy Orbison (Only the lonely), Percy Faith & His Orchestra (Theme from “A summer place”), Perry Como (Catch a falling star), Doris Day (Que sera sera – whatever will be, will be), Ella Fitzgerald (Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!), Tim Finn featuring Elliot Finn (Always be happy), and many more.The greatest showman is the blockbuster musical based on the story of PT Barnum, with Hugh Jackman, on an album that is still charting well a year after the film’s release. Original songs are by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul.
Three billboards outside Ebbing Missouri features a score composed by Carter Burwell for the Oscar winning comedy crime-drama, as well as tracks from Joan Baez, The Four Tops, Monsters of Folk and Townes Van Zandt.
