This beautiful new book from Yale University Press highlights the wonderful draughtsmanship of Mannerist artist Agnolo Bronzino who was a pupil of the great Pontormo. It can be found on the browsing shelves in the Arts Reading Room.

Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood

The recent death of Hollywood rebel and icon Dennis Hopper made the recent exhibition of art from his private collection at ACMI that much more topical. Mind you with artists such as Warhol, Ruscha, Lichtenstein and Basquiat represented, not to mention some of Hopper’s own work, it was always going to be interesting.
