A collection of valuable Irish land records are now available on the Ancestry.com website. You can search nineteenth century tithe applotment books, Griffith’s valuation records and ordnance survey maps that have been released to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. You can view these terrific census substitute records free of charge at the State Library or often at your local public library. Note: You can also access the Griffith’s valuation on the wonderful Ask about Ireland website.
