National Family History Week is an initiative of the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations and in 2012 will be held from 27 July to 5 August so important dates for your diary!

The Week has been held in Australia since 2007. Across Australia over those days there will be family history related talks, tours, workshops, reunions… I counted more than 50 events in Victoria alone. Check the National Family History Week website for a full listing.

On Monday 30 July the State Library of Victoria hosts the annual Family History Feast which is booked out but you can  listen to podcasts of the talks and a videocast of the Don Grant Lecture  later through the Library’s website.

Enjoy the Week!
